There are three types of visit you can book, the school mill tour visit tour, the school Design and Technology Workshop and the adult group visit.

To comply with our own Health and Safety rules, the school party will be limited to a maximum of 15 children when touring the Watermill. During the tour there must be, in addition to the tour guide, two other responsible adults accompanying the children.
Please ensure that a teacher's pre-visit is arranged with the Warden, as this is considered essential for the purpose of risk assessment and the pre-planning of the visit.

Owned and managed by United Utilities plc, Bunbury Mill is a fully restored and working Water Mill which provides a unique link with the past.
The Mill is open to organised groups throughout the year by arrangement with the Warden. Visitors will be conducted on a guided tour of the Water Mill where they can view, and marvel, at the simple, but effective, 19th. Century machinery as the waterwheel turns the millstones in order to grind wheat into flour. Following the guided tour visitors can purchase flour made at the mill, thus extending the experience of the visit.
There is a nominal admission charge. Tea or coffee, and biscuits, can be provided if required. Please contact the Warden for details.
To comply with our own Health and Safety rules no more than 20 people will be allowed to tour the Mill at one time. The group organiser should, prior to the visit, arrange with the Warden to make a pre-visit to the Water Mill for the purpose of risk assessment.
No smoking is allowed inside the Mill.
