Bunbury Water Mill
This is where you can learn about us and arrange a visit to Bunbury Water Mill, located in the peaceful rural setting of South Cheshire.

Opening Times & Admission Charges
  • The Mill is open to the public from April to the end of September, on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays only, between the hours of 1-00pm and 4-00pm. School and Party visits throughout the year by arrangementwith the Warden.
  • Free car parking provided for visitors.
  • There is a small admission charge for visitors, currently £2-50 adults and £1-50p children.
  • Mill Tour visits for schools are free of charge, including use of a purpose built classroom adjacent to the Mill.
  • Design Technology Workshops, substantially discounted, courtesy United Utilities plc currently charged at £130.
Souvenirs and Publications
  • Whilst there is no separate shop, visitors can obtain post cards, bookmarks, and maps of local footpath walks. Other publications available include "Wheat Treats" a collection of flour recipes. A Teachers Educational Resource Pack and a Mill History book are in preparation.
Flour for Sale
  • Today the Mill is able to demonstrate its working machinery by producing wholemeal flour and oatmeal made from locally grown milling grain. The flour is sold to visitors and just a few select shops and restaurants.
Nearby Attractions
  • The mill is located close to the Staircase Locks of the Shropshire Union Canal, Beeston Castle, Peckforton Castle, The Candle Factory at Burwardsley, and the Ice Cream Farm at Tattenhall, and can be accessed from both the A49 and A51 between Nantwich and Tarporley.
